About Kristy Howard Writes
Hi, I’m Kristy—
theology student, chaplain, and writer.
For the past two decades, I’ve served in vocational ministry alongside my husband Jeremy—while homeschooling our five kids and building a writing life from the comfort (and chaos) of our 1920s farmhouse in Fort Worth, Texas.
I love excellent books, slow mornings, and rainy days. I’m an introvert at heart, but life and ministry keep me doing plenty of “peopling” anyway.
Vocationally, I’ve had the privilege of working with Christianity Today, Hudson Bible, (in)courage, and a growing number of faith-driven clients.
I’m a lifelong evangelical from a long line of ministers, and my own journey through anxiety, depression, and religious trauma has shaped both my calling and my compassion.
Here, I write about faith, wholeness, and self-care. My mission is simple: to silence shame-shaped narratives and point toward truth, grace, and unshakable confidence.
If you long for steady grace, mindful growth, and words that encourage both your soul and your work, you’ll feel at home here.
Veritas et Gratia,
Kristy 💐
