Women’s Identity in Christ (and the Daily Question That Grounds Me)
Monday Reset: How do you want to show up today?
Each morning, before the weight of the week settles in, I ask myself one simple question:
“How do I want to show up today?”
For years, I didn’t know I could ask that question.
My identity felt assigned—be quiet, be obedient, be subdued, be agreeable.
And I lived under those inherited narratives as a teenage girl, a young pastor’s wife, and a mom wrestling daily with a frustration I didn’t know how to name.
But when we root ourselves in women’s identity in Christ, we don’t have to live by the scripts handed down to us.
We can show up as women of grace, strength, and confidence.
In fact, we are called by God to live into this higher, grace-shaped identity.
Shaping Each Day with Grace
These days, my answer to this question is often: loving, confident, gracious, or simply present.
Those are traits I could not own when I was bound by silence or codependency. They are traits of a woman who knows her worth in Christ and isn’t afraid to embody it in daily life.
There is great strength in showing up with a God-given, grace-shaped identity.
It doesn’t mean perfection. It means presence, faith, and willingness to live from the truth of who we are in Christ—not who we were told we had to be.
Your Turn
So let me ask you: How do you want to show up today?
Take a moment. Breathe. Ask Him.
Then write it down—carry it with you as a quiet declaration of who you are becoming.
