Before I started practicing a weekly reset, my days often blurred together. I’d get to Friday feeling scattered, mentally drained, and wondering where my energy (and time) went.
As an introverted woman juggling a lot of responsibilities—home, kids, meals, work, homeschooling—I realized I was missing something: space.
Not another room in the house. And not even more productivity or hustle.
Just space to pause.
To reflect, rest, and create beautiful places in my busy life.
To reset.
And that’s how the Weekly Reset was born:
Out of my need for a gentle rhythm that lets me reflect, realign, and reclaim my week.
Really, it’s a simple invitation to breathe before diving back in. (Because mom life never stops, you know.)
What My Weekly Reset Looks Like In Real Life
My reset isn’t fancy or complicated. It usually happens on Sunday afternoons or evenings, but honestly?
I give myself permission to do it midweek if needed. (Sometimes that reset feels more necessary on a Wednesday afternoon than a Sunday night, and that’s okay.)
Here’s what it often includes:
A few quiet moments to check in with my thoughts and energy
Looking at what went well the week before (and what didn’t)
Writing down one thing I want to focus on in the week ahead
Releasing pressure to “do more” and choosing to live well in my current season
Sometimes I light a little soy candle and pour myself a cup of tea.
Sometimes I journal in the car while my kids are at theatre rehearsals.
It doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be intentional.

How to Create Your Own Weekly Reset Rhythm
Your reset doesn’t have to look like mine.
It can be as simple as a few minutes with a pretty journal, a cup of tea, (or coffee) and a little breathing room.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Pick one area to gently focus on or simplify
Let go of the need to plan everything—just begin with one clear intention
Remember: the goal isn’t to master the week. It’s to meet it gently.
