6 Things I'm Loving Right Now

Hey, Friend!

I’m in icy Charlotte, North Carolina this weekend, experiencing a writer’s conference for the very first time! I fly back to Dallas on Sunday, so prayers are appreciated. ❄︎

January is nearly a wrap, and it’s time to turn the calendar page for the first time in 2026. (Can you believe it?)

Here are a few things I’ve enjoyed in January:

1. This devotional: To Know Him, by Dr. Henry Cloud

I’m working on a review to share, but in a word—I’m loving this devotional because it’s entirely not what you’d expect from a typical devotion book. (Hint: it’s so much better.)

2. ”Sheet Pan Pancakes” from this cookbook

I’m a busy woman who doesn’t really love to cook. 😬 And I might have a few picky eaters at my table. My family raves about the recipes in Emily Ley’s The Simplified Cookbook, which means I reach for it a lot.

3. Midwinter Carols” playlist, by Joel Clarkson

This soulful album is the soundtrack for my work right now.

4. These candles, by 906 Candle Co

I love shopping small, and this Etsy seller is one of my go to places to buy little gifts for friends… or myself. 𝜗ৎ

My personal favorite candle scents are “White Sage & Lavender” and “Linen.”

5. This sweater, by Free Assembly at Walmart

I’m wearing it this weekend, with black Madewell jeans and a long-sleeve Half-Tee (promo code KristyLynn20) for extra warmth. On a typical weekend at home, I’d pair it with a pair of fleece leggings.

The sweater fits pretty true to size, but size up if you want a more relaxed fit. (I’m wearing it in medium, and typically wear a small in this brand.)

6. Home treadmill, by DeerRun

I’m the world’s worst fair-weather runner. I finally invested in a home treadmill and I wish I would have done it years ago. It’s compact enough to fit in my dining room (I don’t have a home workout space), and even in snow days I’m getting my miles in.

(The only problem is, now I’m having to share with my teens and husband.) 😁
