A few years ago, I realized that EVERY coat + jacket I owned was either black or gray. Winter is drab enough without wearing “heavy” colors everywhere, am I right?
I slowly started replacing my winter overcoats with pieces that were white or bright – and fitted, because I don’t care for the oversized-everything trend. I ended up with four beautiful, feminine winter coats to polish off my winter wardrobe.
If you’re looking for an easy way to brighten things up this season, consider investing in a few coats that aren’t on the gray scale. Whites, pinks + jewel tones are my personal favorites.

This lovely pea coat from White House Black Market is the only winter coat I paid full price for. It’s been totally worth the money – I’ve been wearing it for several years + it’s still like new!

Full Length White Coat
If you’re a fan of preppy winter coats, nothing makes a statement quite like a full length, white coat. I get lots of compliments on this Kate Middleton-inspired look – and no one would ever guess it’s a thrifted Old Navy coat!

Blue Plaid Overcoat
What’s not to love about bright winter blues? This plaid overcoat from Old Navy is another wardrobe staple I thrifted a few years ago.

Quilted Mid-Length Jacket
This quilted mid-length coat from Chico’s is just the right amount of preppy + practical. The pink is sold out, but a similar style is available in pretty jewel tones here.
